Opossums will often inhabit a crawl space, attic, or nest under your shed or deck. They may use your home as a latrine and cause other structural damage. They are known to chew wood, electrical wires, and some types of ductwork. Insulation also becomes damaged and contaminated.
Food Habits: Opossums are true scavengers and often eat scraps other animals leave behind.
Reproduction: They may breed several times a year. They also have many babies at a time, therefore, finding five to eight baby opossums is not unusual.
They are North America's only marsupial. Females carry small young in a pouch, similar to a kangaroo.
